My 12 of 12

*The Heartland*

Ok, so I am jumping on the bandwagon, and sharing my favorite photos that I took in 2012. I think they are my favorite. But really, it us SO hard cut down a years worth of photos down to 12. And considering I have only processed (or even seen for that matter) about 5% of the photos I took this year, I am sure there is a couple that are even better than what I have selected for this album. But, so be it. They will make my mid 2013 album "Favorite Photos From 2012 That I Didn't Edit Until 2013" album :)

Back in August, ..... went out to Williams, California, to do some light painting at an abandon bus graveyard. Well, before night session (and IPA drinking) began, we were greeted with this epic sunset.
"Sunset At The Krishna Temple"

In March of 2012, Natalia, Roma and myself drove through the beautiful wilderness of Southern Utah for 3 weeks, sleeping in my car, getting awesome photos, and having the time of our life. But the end goal was to make it to Salt Lake City for the Holi Festival Of Colors. There, we met up with our other photography friends for the #JarvieWalk led by Scott. Needless to say, the weekend was amazing. The Festival is an absolute blast to photograph, and then, when the day Festival is winding down, you are greeted with the epic sunsets that Southern Utah is known for.

I cannot wait to do this again this year! Want to join? The Festival Of Colors is March 30-31st. Bring your camera, your smiles, and maybe a plastic raincoat to protect that DSLR. You won't regret it. Check out the Google+ event for more details.

"Bay Bridge Blues"

Allright, I am a little behind on posting my favorite 12 of 2012...so they won't all be shared before the New Year...look for the final ones in the first week of January! :)

In the meantime, check out the Bay Bridge after the sun goes down.
“The Storms A Coming”

In the San Francisco Bay Area, the last couple of weeks have felt more like April than February. Crystal clear blue skies, bright sun, temperatures in the 60′s. So alas, all good things must come to an end. When I checked the weather today, and saw the next 6 days call for heavy rain, I decided I had to try to get one last good sunset in before the storm. So I threw the camera, the tripod, and the dog in the car and sped on down to Rodeo Beach in Sausalito. I had aover an hour to spare before the sunset, so I spent most of that time taking shots of the surfers, who, judging by the large number of them in the water, had the same “now or never” attitude when they checked the weather forcast.
